The day you plant the seed is NOT the day you harvest the fruit! Have you ever heard that?
This week, I want to gently remind you that there is a sales cycle for every business. And often times, people become self-critical about where they are in business. The reality is: it’s YOUR job every day to just keep going out and planting more seeds!

Today I want to remind you that your job is to keep the “Funnel Full”. Several years ago, I had stopped networking for a while and also stopped sending out my monthly “warm letters”. I had hit a plateau in my business and wasn’t sure what to do next.
But as I went back to my list of potential clients, (the Love ‘Em Up List), I realized my list was VERY skinny! There weren’t many people on that list that hadn’t already become a client or decided I wasn’t the right person for them or even moved out of the state. I quickly started to spiral out of control – out of fear.
HOW was I going to grow when there weren’t many people to even follow up with? As I sat and stared at my computer screen, I heard 3 words in my mind:
“Fill the Funnel”
I quickly grabbed a post-it and wrote those words on it: “Fill the Funnel” and put it on my computer screen.
THIS became my daily reminder that the only thing I was to spend my time and focus on was FILLING the funnel!
And I knew that the reason my funnel had dried up was because I had STOPPED doing all the things that in the past had filled the funnel. It was a great time to become re-committed to my marketing. I also knew that I needed to fill the funnel quickly because the day you plant the seeds is NOT the day you eat the fruit.
