I know! Those two words “market segmentation” make my head hurt, too! Whether those words make you wanna cringe or not, you NEED to care about it, and here’s why: market segmentation enables a business to precisely give consumers exactly what they want to see, how they want to see it. Using this strategy to market your concierge business is way more likely to help you grow.
Companies that do not have a segmenting strategy and target to an entire mass market find themselves scattered, overwhelmed, and broke!
Here’s the thing I see so many people do in our industry: they keep talking to the masses instead of talking to the few.

As someone in the personal assistance/personal concierge industry, we have 2 things we need to ALWAYS be cognizant of:
1) Service focus
2) Market focus

But people think it’s easier to throw a big huge wide net, when in reality the wide net reaps less fish.

So, what the hell really is market segmentation? 


I’m gonna break it down for you in easy-to-understand Kelly-splaining.

All you need to know is THIS:

Identify the similarity of needs of potential buyers within a segment and pursue them with tailored services/offerings!
The easiest ways to identify your market:
  • Geographic
  • Demographic
  • Behavioral
  • Lifestyle

Once you get REALLLLY clear – you’ll know WHO you want to work with, where to find them, how to market TO them, and better yet – how to serve them
I guarantee you that THIS is the shortcut to market your concierge business that so many of us never quite get!! It’s the REASON why it took me years to really gain the traction in my business that I desired, and it’s a lesson I am always helping my students learn.
