Back to School Season!
I’m back from vacation and I’ve just packed my littles off to their first days of school. I can’t believe Summer break is already over, it certainly felt like it flew by. And as we all know, once the kiddos head back to school, Fall hits and then BOOM, like that it will be the Winter holiday season again.
If you’re anything like me, then you LIVE for the holiday season! The holidays provide so many fun experiences and tasks for a personal concierge… Holiday shopping, decorating, party prep and one of the best – wrapping!!
So as we start preparing for the busy holiday season, one of the things you need to be sure you’re doing NOW is being “omnipresent.”
Omnipresence is a term used to explain the concept of being “everywhere” all the time. And that’s really YOUR job!
In order to grow your business, you need to be seen and known. Otherwise, no one will know you actually exist! I know it sounds like a no-brainer, but to be honest, I know that hearing this information and then actually doing it are two different stories. ?
So let me explain omnipresence for you, and then HOW you can use it to attract new paying clients, have a better holiday season this year, AND grow beyond your current client base!
OK – so back to “omnipresence” and why it’s imperative to your business growth. ?
Omnipresence is what Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett, Barack Obama, Abe Lincoln and Mother Theresa (just to name a few) have achieved. You HEAR their name and you immediately know “who they are.” They are everywhere.
Wouldn’t you love to be the “Oprah” of your town? To be Seen, Known and Aware of?
True omnipresence means you have a goal of being everywhere at all times and at the same time!
Your goal is to truly dominate your area. To be a local household name. But HOW exactly do you do that you may be wondering?
Simply put – you have a marketing plan that is always on and working FOR you. Even when you’re on vacation – people will hear about you.
Here are the CORE foundational activities you should be doing consistently and even as you grow your business bigger. Be on autopilot!
You see – the only person that limits your earning potential is YOU!
Here are the elements of marketing that you should be using to become omnipresent:
- Networking – with the right people – often.
- Educating anyone and everyone you meet (so that they easily refer you).
- Keeping in touch (for the long haul) with those people who’ve either wanted to work with you, mentioned working with you or can refer people TO you.
- Using signs, collaterals, flyers and educational pamphlets (that are comprehensive of your brand).
- A website that INFORMS and educates (and doesn’t just talk about YOU).
- Social media that shares who you are, what you believe and how you serve.
- Speaking in front of local groups of ideal clients OR better yet – those people who can easily refer you.
- And one of my favorites – and something we do VERY well – Is educating our referral partners.
You see, with each of these strategies you are being seen online, offline, in the conversations and recommendations of others and also in your community.
It is said that true omnipresence occurs when you have achieved the status of being widespread or constantly encountered. Through not just YOU – but your brand!
So, how omnipresent have you been?
Is there room for improvement?
What steps do you need to take next to achieve local omnipresence?
These are the questions I actually ask myself about once every 6 months. ? And then I take action in the areas I know we’re falling short!
