Last week, I opened an email that said my coaching was “expensive.”
Years ago, that word would’ve sent me spiraling. But not anymore. Why? Because I’ve grown.
The truth is my coaching isn’t expensive. “Expensive” is a relative term, and for the right client, it’s an investment. The course in question was $1,997 for a year. And while we no longer offer that standalone program, it was part of our mastermind group.
One of my clients who invested in that exact program went from earning $3,000 in her business one year… to over $44,000 the next.
Let’s be real. If I gave you $40K, would you give me $2K in return? What about $10K? You’d jump on it. No stock, bond, or savings account is going to give you that kind of return.
In fact, I invested over $61K in coaching in 2020 alone. Did I regret it? Not for one second. That investment made me wealthier not just in income, but in knowledge, confidence, and growth.
The Lesson: Become the Client You Want to Attract
If you’re building a personal concierge business or want to know how to get clients for a senior concierge business, the biggest game-changer is becoming the type of client you want to attract.
Want more referrals? Give more referrals.
Need more support? Be a source of support first.
Craving more time from family? Offer it first.
This is reciprocity in action.
If you haggle over $10 at the grocery store, you’ll attract clients who argue over their invoices.
If you can’t justify investing in your own growth, why would others invest in you?
Your Mindset Is Showing (and Blocking Your Sales)
Ever said, “My clients won’t pay that”?
Usually, that’s YOUR money mindset showing up in their decision-making. Truth bomb: It’s often because you wouldn’t pay that.
I’ll never forget raising my hourly rate in 2013 from $35 to $40. Suddenly, people stopped hiring me. I blamed my business coach. I questioned everything. Then I realized… I wouldn’t pay someone $40/hr to grocery shop for me either. My then-husband wouldn’t pay $50/hr to hire a handyman, because he could “do it himself.”
So guess what? My energy attracted people who thought the same way.
Three Questions to Reset Your Energy
When clients resist your pricing, ask yourself:
Is this person actually my ideal client?
Am I 100% aligned with the value I’m offering?
Would I invest in this offer myself, as it stands?
This isn’t just about pricing. It’s about congruence, alignment, and the energy you lead with.
Ready to Grow? Here’s Where to Start
