How to Set Goals for 2025 (and Make Them Inevitable)
This week is a special one. Every year, I take this time to slow down, clean out my office, do a deep purge, reflect on the year behind me, and look ahead to what I want to create next.
And next week? I’ll be guiding my 100K Club members through our epic 6-hour Strategic Planning Day. By the end, they’ll be super clear on their one big goal, the key projects that support it, and what actions they’ll need to take.
With all this “goal setting” swirling in my mind, I wanted to give you the same edge I give my clients. Whether you’re just figuring out how to start a profitable senior concierge business or scaling your services to support more aging adults setting clear goals is what sets you apart.
Why Bother With Goals?
Because without clear direction, you’ll drift. Goal setting is the process that connects your dreams to your daily actions. It’s how you make your vision real. It turns “some day” into actual steps on your calendar.
So let’s dive into the 4 things that will make your goals for this year more inevitable.
1. Write Your Goals Down
Thinking about your goals is great. But writing them down? That’s the game changer.
When you write your goals down, they live outside of your brain and become real. Everyone at our Strategic Planning Day writes their goals on physical goal cards. It anchors your intentions and keeps you focused when life gets messy (and it always does, right?).
Studies show that people who write their goals down are significantly more likely to achieve them.
If your goal is to start a part-time business helping seniors, write that out clearly: “I will launch my senior concierge service by April 30 with 3 paying clients.”
2. Make Your Goals Specific
“Grow my business” isn’t a goal it’s a wish.
Specificity gives your goals structure. It forces you to define what you’re creating.
So instead of “I want to grow,” try: “I want to generate $5,000/month by September offering companion care services for seniors.”
Even if you’re just exploring concierge services for the elderly, clarity will help you attract the right clients and opportunities faster.
3. Make Them Measurable
Without measurements, you won’t know how far you’ve come or how close you are.
Saying “I need to network more” won’t move the needle. But saying “I will attend 5 senior-focused community events each month” gives you a clear, measurable target to hit.
Tracking income, time spent on outreach, or services delivered are powerful tools for business growth. Want to see just how much impact you’re making? Watch how your income grows.
I talk more about this in my post “From Busy Work to Financial Productivity” because just staying busy isn’t enough anymore.
4. Set a Deadline (But Hold It Lightly)
A deadline is a commitment, not a punishment.
Be ambitious, but not unrealistic. If you’ve made $1,000 a month for the past year, aiming for $10,000/month in 90 days is a huge leap. It’s okay to stretch yourself, but don’t set yourself up for disappointment.
Here’s the truth: the universe has its own timing.
So write the goal and add the date: “By December 31, I’ll be consistently making $8K/month from my non-medical senior services business.”
If you hit $6K? That’s still a win. You’re moving closer. Be flexible but stay committed.
Keep Taking Action
Every action moves you closer. But how fast you move? That’s up to the size and consistency of your effort.
People in my programs blow my mind with their speed. Why? They show up. They don’t give up. They keep going even when it’s hard.
They ask questions.
They seek guidance.
They move.
Keep Your Eye on the Impact
Tracking your money matters not because it’s just about income, but because it reflects your impact. More revenue = more seniors supported. More lives improved. More peace of mind given to families.

Wrap Up
So there you have it 4 steps to make your goals for 2025 more inevitable:
Write them down
Make them specific
Make them measurable
Set a deadline (and be kind to yourself about it)
Whether you’re launching your first service or growing your senior concierge business, these strategies will help you move forward with clarity.
And hey, don’t let a few setbacks stop you. You’re not here to dip your toe in. You’re here to build something real. And this year, it’s time.
