Top 3 Smart Ways to Price Your Concierge Services
I get emails all the time from people asking: “Kelly, how do I price my services??”
Listen, pricing your concierge services is one of THE biggest areas of confusion when you’re starting (and even if you’ve been in biz for a hot minute). So let’s break it down together today.
Here’s what most people do when they start…
They Google.
Yup, they look around to see what so-and-so is charging and try to piece together their own prices based on someone else’s business. I’m not judging I did this too. (Let’s be real.)
But here’s the thing…
When you base your pricing on what others are doing (without knowing their success, struggles, or strategy), you’re building your house on sand. You skip the essentials like YOUR income goals, YOUR business model, YOUR local demographics.
Instead of copying others, you need a solid pricing pyramid that works for your business. And if you’re building a senior concierge business, you especially need pricing that reflects the value and consistency of the care and support you offer.
One of the biggest shifts that helped me grow past the 6-figure mark years ago?
I stopped charging by the hour.
Hourly is fine in some cases, but if you want to build a long-term, scalable biz, you gotta move to models that support consistent revenue.
And here’s the truth most people who try to shift to retainer or membership pricing, fall flat. Not because it doesn’t work, but because they don’t fully understand how to do it well.
So, let’s talk strategy.
Here are my top 3 ways to price your concierge services effectively whether you’re just starting or ready to scale.
1. A La Carte Services
Sometimes people just need one task done. Boom, simple. A la carte pricing is perfect here.
This might be a flat rate or even hourly if it’s a short-term, clearly defined task. For example, I’ve used this for our corporate gift wrapping events or when we collaborate with another biz. You set a price, deliver the service, and done.
But… don’t fall into the trap of saying yes to every one-off job. ONLY take on what lights you up and fits your skills.
This model is quick cash, but it’s not great for building a steady stream of clients or long-term revenue.

2. Bulk Hours / Service Packages
This is a juicy middle ground. Service packages let your clients buy a bundle of hours upfront. It’s great when they aren’t totally sure how to use you yet, but know they want help.
I’ve done everything from 10-hour to 40-hour packages. You can tailor this to what feels aligned with your biz and your clients’ needs.
Pro Tip: Use this when you need a cash infusion. Want to invest in a course, new system, or even bring on a VA? Sell a few service packages and use that cash to level up.

3. Retainer-Based Packages
THIS is where the real magic happens.
In a retainer model, clients sign on for monthly, quarterly, or yearly support. They get VIP treatment maybe bonus perks, exclusive hours, or even priority scheduling.
Why do I love this model?
Because it creates predictable income. Your revenue doesn’t start over at zero each month. And that’s a game changer if you’re building a profitable senior concierge business.
This model supports long-term profitability. But yes, you’ll need systems for hiring, onboarding, and managing client expectations. That’s why I always say having a mentor or community is key. (Don’t try to figure this all out on your own.)

Your Assignment This Week:
Take 15 minutes and look at your current pricing.
Are you stuck in hourly pricing? Is it time to move toward packages or retainers?
What could change if you created one service package this week?
Or what if you offered a limited number of VIP retainer slots?
Having a clear, simple pricing strategy is a game-changer in building a sustainable, scalable concierge business for seniors (or any kind of service business, really). It lets you stop second-guessing yourself and start moving confidently toward your goals.
