6 Essentials to Build a 6-Figure Concierge Business

This season of gratitude has me reflecting on what truly matters not just in life, but in business. Today, I want to shine a light on something important: building a 6-figure personal concierge business, especially one focused on helping seniors live better, more independent lives.

Let me start with a quick story.

Lisa, a member of our 100K Club, lost her job when COVID hit. But that curveball was the nudge she needed to finally start her dream business one she had kept on the back burner for years. Since March of that year, she’s grown her personal concierge business to consistent $10K months.

That’s the power of clarity, focus, and sometimes a universe-sized kick in the pants.

My Story – The Real Start

I was excited to use my talents to serve others. But excitement doesn’t pay the bills.

I tried everything:

  • Flyers in grocery stores (which attracted people looking for a job, not services)

  • Free business advice sessions (where I was told I’d never make it)

  • Booths at craft fairs and chamber events

  • Driving through high-end neighborhoods leaving flyers on mailboxes

None of it worked.

I almost gave up so many times. But I didn’t.

One day at Office Max, a staff member who recognized me said, “You’re the only one still in business after two years.”

That moment hit hard. And from that point on, I was all in.

I hired business coaches. I took classes. I tested, failed, tested again. I became relentless with my marketing and tracking. I needed to know what worked.

Now, after years of trial and error, I teach those strategies to others inside my programs. The same systems that help my students rise above the 75% failure rate and build profitable senior concierge businesses.

1. Know Your Ideal Client (Yes, Really!)

  • Local SEO (especially important!)

  • Speaking at community events

  • Simple Facebook and Nextdoor presence

Don’t fall for the hype that says, “Just use your phone and a flyer.” That’s not a business plan that’s a hope and a prayer.
