There are 2 types of people in the world. Those who say they want something and go all-in on creating it and those who “pretend” they want something.
The latter are those who say one thing – but their actions say another.
This week marks my 11th anniversary of leaving behind my nursing career. A ‘job” I loved. But an experience that was sucking more and more of my soul away from me.
Most people who start a business won’t LEAP as I did.
In all honesty, it was scary as hell!
But my willingness to do things most people aren’t willing to do, and my tenacity are what have gotten me so far in life and business.
I have a goal.
I visualize what it will be like.
I make a plan.
I start the plan.
All shit hits the fan, and the plan doesn’t work.
I come up with a new plan.
Then that one fails too.
Next plan – some success.
Learn from it.
Tweak it.
Go again.
It was NOT EASY for me. I made a lot of mistakes. I fell down hundreds of times along the way. I literally watched no less than 6 people start a concierge business in my own backyard… none are still around.
Why?
- They saw me doing something and thought “cool” that looks easy, without seeing the commitment I had already put in
- They never learned how to market – they popped up a few flyers around town, made a FB page and expected flocks of clients to find them
- They gave up too soon
I have 2 things to help:
